Planet Fitness is the workout facility that prides itself on creating a “judgement free” atmosphere. They have amenities similar to the more expensive facilities, but at a much cheaper price. Even though they offer a reduced annual rate, they provide an opportunity for guests to sample the facility by offering a guest pass program. If you are considering joining a Planet Fitness gym, you may want to start with a Planet Fitness guest pass.The Planet Fitness guest pass provides access to all gym equipment, though it does not entitle the user to any of the special services. 1-Day Guest Pass
The standard 1-day guest pass costs $20. You may apply online by providing your name, email, phone number, and birth date. You will be contacted by a membership counselor and have an orientation before you decide on membership. You may also obtain the pass by walking in to any of the Planet Fitness locations. The 1-day pass gives you access to gym equipment only so you are not able to use any of the special classes or services. Since a monthly membership costs only $10, it is actually more beneficial for you to choose this option if you are only interested in using the standard equipment.
Refer a Friend Pass
If you are a Black Card Member at Planet Fitness (see membership types) you can invite a guest to accompany you on any of your visits. You can only have one guest per visit and they must be at least eighteen years of age. They must show a valid ID to confirm their age. The Black Card guest pass is still only good for one day and still only gives access to the standard gym equipment. However, this type of guest pass is issued free of charge. There is no benefit to the member except the opportunity to work out with a friend and to give that person a chance to try out the facility before they make a membership decision. These special, free passes are available in all Planet Fitness locations as long as you enter with the Black Card Member.

Whether you purchase the 1-day guest pass or enter using a free Black Card Member 1-day guest pass, you will have access to the following:
- Entry to the local club that is most convenient for you
- Use of the standard gym equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, and bikes
These guest passes restrict your use of special services like massage and tanning, and you cannot attend fitness classes. These additional amenities are only open to Black Card Members. However, the guest pass allows you to explore your chosen Planet Fitness to determine if it is the right facility for you.
